An office assistant at St. Elizabeth School will work closely with the Pastor and school administration. The office assistant should have strong computer skills. The office assistant will oversee daily office operations, process checks, manage administrative tasks required by the school and Diocese, and support the smooth functioning of the school office. Applicants should be well-organized and demonstrate a strong faith and commitment to Catholic education.

Responsibilities
Support school operations by maintaining a strong working relationship with the Diocese of Wilmington, the Catholic Schools Office, the Parish’s financial partner, and the Diocesan Human Resource office particularly in regard to “For the Sake of God’s Children.”
Maintain office services by organizing office operations and procedures, processing checks, managing correspondence, maintaining filing systems, reviewing and approving supply requisitions, and assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
Define procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
Maintain office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
Establish standards and procedures, measuring results and making necessary adjustments.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Additional Requirements
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Two to three years’ experience in an office setting.
